The scope of Structures covered in this listing include:
Buildings:
Relocatable Industrial Structures under Part 4, 9, and 10 of Alberta Building Code used for Major Occupancy classified as Group F Division 2 – Medium‐Hazard Industrial Occupancies. Building is comprised of single module not intended for general public access. Structures are designed and constructed within the limitations of Part 4 and Part 9 of the applicable building codes. This covers only the structural and building envelope of the structure.Structures described above typically include units used as power plants and similar temporary structures for electrical mobile equipment.
Light steel frame structure built on top of steel base frame. The steel building shall be manufactured by companies certified in accordance with the requirements of CSA A660 “Certification of Manufacturers of Steel Building Systems”.
This listing does not apply to sleeping quarters, construction camps, dining trailers, washcars, office spaces, storage units and other residential or commercial buildings and/or any building designed for multiple major occupancies. Also, it is not includes vehicular lighting or brake wiring systems when module is on wheels.
The structures for use in hazardous locations are not included in this report and QAI certification. This certification does not cover completion of sprinkler and fire alarm system.

Prefabricated structure included in this listing are manufactured at a central facility and transported to the site. This structure must include provisions for on-site interconnections. QAI certification covers the construction of the prefabricated structure including any factory installed component and material.
QAI certification is intended to obviate the necessity of further inspection by the local regulatory authorities except for site installations, connections to services and for site installed features.
Site installation of products must be done according to manufacturer’s installation instructions and in compliance with the requirements set by the local authority having jurisdiction.
