All markings must be permanent and visible after installation.
1. QAI label with ‘C’ identifier (item 1067, black with gold, 3-1/2” diameter) is normally located in close proximity to the electrical panel and includes:
− Certification label serial number
− QAI certification logo with the “C” Identifier
− “Modular Homes” QAI logo shown here:
The specification nameplate (item 1068, 8-1/2” x 14” in size) is normally located in close proximity to the electrical panel and includes:
− manufacturer’s name and address
− model and serial numbers
− fuel type
− complete electrical rating− year of manufacture
− appliances and equipment that are factory installed
− additional markings as may be required
− ground and design snow load
− thermal resistance of insulation and design heat loss
3. Other Markings as required by the relevant codes.
The QAI label and specification nameplate are available from QAI and must be applied at the factory. -
Single or multiple family dwellings classified under one major occupancy (Group C – Residential), constructed in single or multiple modules up to a maximum of 1-storey configurations. Modular homes under this scope have a building area not exceeding 600m2.
Multi-residential buildings are designed and constructed within the limitations of Part 9 with vertical fire and sound separations. For a full list of structures covered under Group C occupancy, please refer to Appendix A, Division B of the National Building Code.
This listing does not include multi storey residential buildings requiring horizontal fire and sound separation or shared egress facilities, hotels and motels, and/or any buildings designed with multiple major occupancies. Roof and exterior wall cladding to be installed on site and are not covered on this evaluation.

Conventional wood frame construction.
Electrical Ratings:
120/240 V, 60Hz, 100A max., Single Phase
Heating/Ventilation:
Modular homes may be equipped with ducting for installation of a central forced air gas furnace on site. Modules may be equipped with heating and air conditioning (electrical only).
Plumbing:
Conventional drainage and venting systems to a maximum of 240 hydraulic fixture units.
Gas Systems:
None.
