Business Commercial Industrial Structures, Group F2

All markings must be permanent and visible after installation.

The QAI label (item 1096 – Permanent Business Commercial Industrial Building CSA A277 Compliance Label) is normally located in close proximity to the electrical panel.

The Specification Nameplate (item 1068, white with black, 8-1/2” x 14”) is normally located in close proximity to the electrical panel and includes:
• Manufacturer’s Name and Address,
• Date of Manufacture,
• Model Serial Number or Product Code,
• Foundation Type (Perimeter Foundation Wall or Piers),

• Floor Live Load,
• Specified Snow Load (1/50),
• Seismic Response Sa(0.2),
• Hourly Wind Pressure (1/50),
• Building Envelope Effective Thermal Resistance,
• Windows/Doors/Skylights Thermal Characteristics,
• Outside Design Temperature (Heat Loss or Heat Gain),
• Factory Installed Appliances,
• Site Installed Components, Assemblies, and Systems,

Other markings as required by the relevant codes.
The QAI Label and Specification Nameplate are available from QAI and must be applied at the Factory.

Structures are used for single Major Occupancy classified as Group F2 – Medium Hazard Industrial Occupancies, constructed in single or multiple modules in single storey configurations not exceeding 600m2 in building area. The entire steel structure is designed in Part 4 by a Professional Engineer and is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of CSA A660 “Certification of manufacturers of steel building systems”.
Structures under this listing typically include electrical control buildings that are not intended to be occupied on a daily or full-time basis and are not conditioned space on a full-time basis.
Electrical Installations inside the buildings are not covered under this listing and are subject to SPE-1000 inspection completed by others.
This listing does not apply to sleeping quarters, construction camps, dining units, office spaces, or storage units and does not include multiple Major Occupancies.
This listing does not apply to Fire Suppression or Alarm Systems.
