Factory Built Modular Homes, Group C - Residential

1. QAI Label with the ‘c’ identifier (item 1067 – black with gold) is normally located in close proximity to the electrical panel.

b) QAI certification logo with the ‘c’ identifier

2. The Specification Nameplate (item 1068, white with black, 8-1/2” x 14”) is normally located on the inside of a cabinet door under the sink and includes:
a) Manufacturer’s Name and Address,
b) Date of Manufacture,
c) Product Serial Number or Product Code,
d) Foundation Type,
e) Floor Live Load,
f) Specified Snow Load (1/50),
g) Seismic Response Sa(0.2),

h) Hourly Wind Pressure (1/50),
i) Building Envelope Effective Thermal Resistance,
j) Windows/Doors/Skylights Thermal Characteristics,
k) Outside Design Temperature (Heat Loss/Heat Gain)
l) Factory Installed Appliances,
m) Site Installed Components, Assemblies, and Systems,
n) Electrical System Voltage, Frequency, and Amperage

Other Markings as required by the relevant Codes.

Note: The QAI Label and Specification Nameplate are available from QAI and must be applied at the Factory.

Modular Homes classified under a Single Major Occupancy – Group C, Residential. Buildings are constructed in single modules with single storey configuration and have a building are not exceeding 600 m².

Modular Homes are designs and constructed as single dwelling units within the limitations of Part 9 of the Building Code. This listing does not include multiple suite, or multiple occupancy buildings, or any buildings that require fire and sound separations or shared egress facilities.

Structural:
Steel shipping container modified as per P.Eng. design in Part 4 in a facility that is certified to CSA A660 and CSA W47.1. Building envelope is designed in Part 5 by P.Eng.

Electrical:
120/240V, 1PH, 60Hz, 100A Maximum

Plumbing:
Conventional drainage and vent systems to a maximum of 240 Hydraulic Fixture Units.

Heating/Ventilation:
Electric forced air wall heaters or baseboard heaters. Units are equipped with an ERV and may contain air conditioning.

Gas:
None
