Permanent engineered structures classified under one major occupancy (Group B, Division 2 – Treatment Occupancies or Group D – Personal Services Occupancies*), constructed in single or multiple modules, one storey configurations, under Parts 3, 4, 5, 6 of the Ontario Building Code and BC Building Code.
Note 3: Any clinic supports, offices, or similar type functions that are supplementary to the main hospital operation can be deemed as Group D subsidiary occupancy
Structures included in this listing typically include but are not limited to care facilities with treatment, convalescent/recovery/rehabilitation centers with treatment, nursing homes with treatment, hospitals, clinic supports and offices that are supplementary to the main hospital operation. This listing does not include residential homes, hotels, motels, business/commercial/industrial units, assembly areas, detention centers, or any other occupancies that are not described in the listing. Medical equipment is not included as part of the certification.

Structural:
Steel Frame Construction designed under Part 4 of the applicable building code by a Professional Engineer. The manufacturer of steel building systems is certified in accordance with the requirements of CSA A660 “Certification of Manufacturers of Steel Building Systems”. Steel building systems made of welded steel is completed by a factory certified in accordance with the requirements of CSA W47.1 “Certification of Companies for Fusion Welding of Steel”.Electrical Ratings:
480V, 60 Hz, 3PH, 350A max. and/or 120/208V, 60 Hz, 3PH, 125A max.Heating/Ventilation:

Structures included in this listing are manufactured at a central facility and transported to the site. These modules must include provisions for onsite interconnections, connection to municipal services (water and sewage) and electrical power supply. QAI certification covers the construction of structures including any factory installed plumbing, and electrical services, appliances, equipment and fixtures. QAI certification is intended to obviate the necessity of further inspection by the local regulatory authorities except for site connections to services or to other modules and for site installed features.
Site installation of products must be done according to manufacturer’s installation instructions and in compliance with the requirements set by the local authority having jurisdiction.
