TESTING

QAI offers many types of product testing services for different industries. QAI provides a complete array of ISO 17025 accredited testing services to support manufacturers – from full-scale assemblies to small-sized materials and properties or Electrical safety to wireless emissions. Our in-house capabilities include full-service laboratories offering testing for research, comparison testing, field and on-site testing, independent stand alone testing for compliance or legal investigations, engineering evaluation and testing to support certification. Our IAS accreditation is a signature of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) such that QAI’s test results are recognized world wide. FIRE TESTING SERVICES

• Flammability and Fire Resistance, small and large-scale, fire testing for mattresses and mattresses pads
• Ignition, burn rate, smoke density, radiant panel, toxicity, combustibility, weight loss

FIRE DOOR TESTING SERVICES

• Fire Door Testing: (UL 10(c), UBC 7-2 (1997) Part 1, NFPA 252 and ASTM E2074-00, Standard Method of Fire Tests of Door Assemblies (Positive Pressure)

ELECTRICAL SAFETY TESTING SERVICES

• Compliance to UL and CSA standards. Our broad scope of accreditation covers approvals to many recognized Standards in many different industries.

FENESTRATION (WINDOWS AND DOORS)

• Testing to AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440, NAFS – North American Fenestration Standard/Specification for Windows, Doors, and Skylights to meet the National Building Code (NBC) or applicable provincial Building Codes.
• Energy Simulation to CSA A440.2 and NFRC 100 to meet ENERGYSTAR, BC Energy Efficiency Act (BCEEA), Ontario Energy Act (OEA), applicable provincial Energy Requirements and Vancouver Building Bylaw (VBBL) Energy criteria for Windows/Doors
