The Office of the California State Fire Marshal has appointed Chris Bowness, P.E. of QAI to serve on the Flame Retardent Technical Advisory Committee
QAI’s laboratory in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, has been working closely with the State Fire Marshals office for many years, conducting testing programs for manufacturers of a wide-range of flame-retardant and fire-resistive materials used in applications that include building materials, decorative materials, furniture, and clothing.
With the unique position as being the only fire testing laboratory located in the state of California that is approved by the California Fire Marshal, QAI is further strengthening those ties by participating on their advisory council. QAI’s location in California and expertise with the state’s regulations will definitely benefit our existing and potential customers, using our relationships in place to ensure their products are properly tested and submitted to the state for expedient approval.
