Electrical Special Inspections

The QAI Electrical Special Inspection program is a unique program offering manufacturers/ importers/ distributors of electrical equipment the opportunity to have their products accepted by the Authorities having Jurisdiction (i.e., BC Safety Authority, Electrical Safety Authority (Ontario), etc) without the hassle of certification. This program is aimed at those manufacturers/ importers/ distributors producing a limited quantity of products or limited production type manufacturing. A special inspection includes the on-site evaluation of an electrical product to determine its compliance with the applicable codes. At the conclusion of a successful inspection, the product is labeled with the SI label, informing regulators that the product is safe. *Available in British Columbia, Canada.
