Manufactured Homes

All markings must be permanent and visible after installation.
The QAI label (item 1064, white lettering on blue background, 3-1/2” diameter) for single section homes is normally located in close proximity to the electrical panel or next to the main entrance to the unit.

The QAI label (item 1065, white lettering on green background, 3-1/2” diameter) for multiple section homes is normally located in close proximity to the electrical panel or next to the main entrance to the unit.

The CSA Z240MH Specification Nameplate (item 1072, black lettering on white background, 8-1/2” x 11”) is located on the inside of a kitchen cabinet door or the master bedroom closet and includes:
 Manufacturer’s name and address,
 Date of manufacture,
 Model Serial Number or Product Code,

 Foundation Type (perimeter foundation walls or piers),
 Floor Live Load (kPa),
 Specified Snow Load (1/50),
 Seismic Response Sa(0.2),
 Hourly Wind Pressure (1/50),
 Building Envelope Effective Thermal Resistance,
 Windows/Doors/Skylights Thermal Characteristics,
 Outside Design Temperature (Heat Loss/Heat Gain),
 Factory Installed Appliances,
 Site Installed Components, Assemblies, and Systems, and
 Electrical System Voltage, Frequency, and Amperage.

The scope of homes covered in this listing include:

Homes:
Single family manufactured homes comprised of single wide or double wide in single storey configurations.

Structural:
Conventional Wood Frame Construction built on steel chassis

Electrical:
120/240V, 60Hz, 200A Max.

Heating and Ventilation:
Electric baseboard heaters. Modules may be equipped with central forced air furnaces. Manufactured Homes may be equipped with air conditioning (electric only).

Plumbing:
Conventional drainage and venting systems to a maximum of 180 hydraulic fixture units.

Gas:
None

Notes: Homes are built to conform to CSA Z240 MH Series and may only be installed in locations where the CSA Z240 MH Series standard is approved by the authority having jurisdiction.

Interconnection of modules, completion of structural systems and connection to services must be finished on site as specified in the electrical and building permits and are subject for inspection by the local authorities having jurisdiction. Products shall be installed in accordance with CSA Z240.10.1 or the local code of the authority having jurisdiction. Printed instructions are provided in English and French with every manufactured home and includes the following:
1) Maximum pier loading and spacing (The instructions shall also provide details on the use of top blocking plates for distribution pier load); The manufacturer should also provide any necessary additional information on the blocking procedure best suited to the manufactured home.
2) Anchorage, including the location and required capacity of anchorage devices.
3) Items to be installed or completed on site; and in the case of multisection manufactured homes, the method of maintaining the integrity of the vapour barrier at the joints between each section.
