Markings:

All Vacuum Breakers shall have the following marking on it where it is
visible after the device has been installed:
a) Manufacturer’s name or trademark
b) QAI Logo with ‘C’ and ‘US’ indicators
c) Model Number of the device
d) Rated working pressure
e) Nominal valve size
f) The direction of water flow through the device
g) Critical level, optional for all devices except for devices that are incorporated in an outlet tube furnished by the manufacturer
h) “Deck Mounted” when tested as deck and equipment mounted per section 3.6

All Backflow Preventers shall be legibly and permanently identified with the following:
a) Manufacturer’s name or trademark
b) QAI Logo with the ‘C’, ‘US’, and ‘RV’ indicators
c) Part or model number
d) Pressure Rating in PSI (Relief Valve set Pressure)
The markings shall be either cast, etched, stamped, or engraved on the body of the device or on a corrosion and water resistant label securely attached to the device with a corrosion resistant material.

• GWF-1 (Gravity Fill)
• BFP-1 (Brass Backflow Preventer)
• BFP-2 (Plastic Backflow Preventer)
