The Electrical Special Inspection (SI) program is a unique program offering manufacturers/ importers/ distributors of electrical equipment the opportunity to have their products approved to SPE-1000 quickly and efficiently. The SPE-1000 blue label is recognized by all Authorities having Jurisdiction (local electrical/building inspectors) across Canada.
Special Inspections may be the right choice for many reasons including:
- Local authority has red-flagged an electrical device and a quick electrical approval is needed;
- An electrical device requires approval prior to arrival on-site or is already installed on-site;
- A speedy approval is required and Certification would in not be practical
