Factory Built Relocatable Commercial Industrial Structures constructed in single or multiple modules in single storey configurations with a building area not exceeding 1200 m2. This listing includes structures intended to be used under a single Major Occupancy classified as:
• Group D – Business and Personal Services,
• Group F3 – Low-hazard industrial occupancyStructures described above typically include but are not limited to construction camp facilities, such as office spaces, portable washroom trailers, storage units and other similar business or industrial buildings.
This listing does not apply to sleeping quarters, dormitories, stores units and other residential or commercial buildings and/or any building designed for multiple major occupancies. This certification does not include Part 3 industrial, commercial or semi-commercial buildings, such as Hospitals, nor does it include Hotels /Motels, Schools, Portable Classrooms or any other structure outside the scope of part 10 of Alberta building code.
This listing does not include vehicular lighting or break wiring systems.

Structural:
Conventional Wood or Steel Frame Construction. The steel building shall be manufactured by companies certified in accordance with the requirements of CSA A660 “Certification of Manufacturers of Steel Building Systems”. All welding to be done in a shop certified to the CSA W47.1 “Certification of Companies for Fusion Welding of Steel”.Electrical Ratings: 120/208V, or 347/600V, 60Hz, 600A, 3-phase systems
Heating/Ventilation: Central Forced Air Furnaces. Units may be Electric, Natural Gas or LPG Fired. Systems may be equipped with Air Conditioning and/or Hydronic heating.
Plumbing: Conventional drainage and venting systems to a maximum of 240 hydraulic fixture units.
Gas Systems: Structures may be equipped with Natural Gas or LPG Fired appliances and equipment.
Fire Alarm, Fire Suppression and/or Sprinkler Systems:

Relocatable Structures included in this listing are manufactured at a central facility and transported to the site. These modules must include provisions for on site interconnections, connection to municipal services (water and sewage), electrical power and gas/propane supply. QAI certification covers the construction of the modular buildings including any factory installed plumbing, electrical and gas/propane services, appliances, equipment and fixtures. QAI certification is intended to obviate the necessity of further inspection by the local regulatory authorities except for site connections to services or to other modules and for site installed features.
Site installation of products must be done according to manufacturer’s installation instructions and in compliance with the requirements set by the local authority having jurisdiction.
