Prefabricated Panels

All markings must be permanent and visible after installation.
1. Each panel is to be marked with the QAI label (item 1101, black with white, 4” x 3-3/8” size) and includes:
˗ QAI certification logo with the “C” Identifier
˗ “Prefabricated Panels”
˗ Manufacturer’s name
˗ Certification label serial number
˗ Reference to the specification nameplateLabels location:
˗ Wall Panels: the interior side of the wall panels, at maximum 24” from the side edge and between 60” and 72” high from the bottom˗ Opened Floor Panels: the interior side of the rim joist
˗ Closed Floor Panels: the top of subfloor panelQAI logo shown here:
2. The specification nameplate (item 1068, 8-1/2” x 14” size) is provided to the purchaser and includes:

Factory-build structural panels intended to be used in single family dwelling.
The final panelized home is classified under one major occupancy (Group C – Residential)
up to a maximum of 2 storey configurations and an area not exceeding 600m2.
This listing covers the prefabricated wall and floor panels designed to be assembled on site
to provide the finished loadbearing structure. The building system covered by this
certification comprises:
– The wall panels including structural wood framing, insulation, air and vapour control layers, sheathing exterior side, wood furring strips both sides. Wall panels could include windows’ installation.
– The floor panels including structural wood framing, insulation, subfloor attached to one side and wood furring strips to the other side. The wood framing consists of dimension lumber and wood web joists.All roofing components, doors, interior and exterior finishing, electrical and plumbing systems are outside the scope of this certification.
This listing does not include panelized home components intended to be used in multi-residential buildings such as duplexes and row houses requiring fire and sound separations, hotels and models, and/or any buildings designed with multiple major occupancies.Structural:
