20 Minute Neutral Pressure Rated Fire Door Frames

20-MINUTE NEUTRAL PRESSURE RATED CATEGORY C WOOD FIRE DOOR FRAMES

Maximum Sizes:

The above frames are Category C wood composite.

Frames are required installed with a Category G gasket fire-rated for minimum 20 minutes with wood door frames for positive pressure applications.

LIMITATIONS:
Minimum Frame Depth: 4-9/16” (116 mm)
Maximum Frame Depth: Equivalent to wall thickness
Minimum Frame Leg Thickness: 1-1/4’’ (32 mm)
Minimum Rabbet for Door: 1-3/4″ [-1/16”] (44 mm [-1.6 mm])
Minimum Stop Height: 5/8’’ (16 mm)
Minimum Stop Width: 2-7/8’’ (62 mm)
Veneer: 2.5 mm or greater

Hardwood Facings: Permitted.
Electric Raceway: Not permitted.
Door Closers: Surface mounted: Permitted.
Mortised: Not permitted.
Plant-Ons: Permitted.

Installation:
• Fastened through the frame legs with #8 x 3” (76 mm) length screws spaced at 24” (610 mm) on center around frame.
• Hinge and latch locations each use two #12 x 3-1/2” (89 mm) screws that pass through the frame and into the wall framing.
• Gaps are required to be sealed with silicone sealant prior to placement of casing.
• Casing to be anchored with finishing nails at minimum 18’’ on center spacing.

Final acceptance of the product in the intended application is to be determined by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
Product is to be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s published installation instructions by qualified installing personnel.
