Trailer Running Gears for use with Recreational Vehicles

Products are marked in a legible and permanent manner on each axle, or on a label firmly attached to the axle, with the following information in a location where readily accessible for review after assembly:
a) The name of the company that assembled the running gear
b) The month and year during which work on the running gear was completed at the place of main assembly, or the serial number, in which case records shall be kept to permit determination of the month and year of manufacture
c) The model or type designation
d) Maximum load-carrying capacity (GAWR)
e) Static loaded radius of the tires
f) The wording “Tires, rims, and wheels shall comply with CMVTSS 109 and CMVSS 110; or CMVTSS 119 and CMVSS 120.”
g) The wording “Trailer running gear shall be equipped with tires having a static loaded radius that does not exceed by more than 10% the static loaded radius shown in the tire manufacturer’s published data for the actual tire tested.”
h) Axle voltage rating
i) Axle current rating
j) The QAI logo with the ‘C’ identifier
k) The QAI listing number: REC756-1
l) The applicable standard: CAN3-D313
m) The assembler’s location (city, state)The following brake assembly information shall be provided by the brake manufacturer on the brake backing plate:
a) Brake manufacturer’s identification
b) Brake model designationc) Lining material friction code as stipulated in SAE recommended practice J866a or equivalent information to allow the fitting of correct replacement lining.
d) Date code or the serial number, in which case records shall be kept to permit determination of the month and year of manufacture
e) The QAI-Component logo with ‘C’ identifier (applicable to electric drum brakes only) -
