Floor, Wall and Roof Prefabricated Panels

All markings must be permanent and visible after installation.
1. Each panel is marked with the QAI label (item 1101, black with white, 4” x 3-3/8” size) and includes:
˗ Manufacturer’s name
˗ “Prefabricated Panels”
˗ Panel Serial Number
˗ Reference to the specification nameplate
˗ Certification label serial number
˗ QAI certification logo with the “C” Identifier shown below:Location of Labels Floor Panels Open Interior side of the rim joist Closed Top of subfloor panel if non finished or exposed lower layer of panel Wall Panels Interior side of the wall panels, at maximum 24” from the side edge and between 60” and 72” high from the bottom Roof Panels Open Interior side of the wall panels, at maximum 24” from the side edge Closed Exposed lower layer of panel 2. The specification nameplate (item 1068, 8-1/2” x 14” size) is provided to the purchaser and includes:

− Floor live Load
− Specified Snow Load (1/50)
− Seismic Response Sa (0.2)

Note 2: The QAI label and specification nameplate are available from QAI and must be applied at the factory.

Prefabricated panels intended to be used in structures classified under a single Major Occupancy classified as:
• Group C – Residential or
• Group F2 & F3 – Medium and Low-hazard industrial occupancy.The final panelized buildings are not more than one-storey high and have a building area not exceeding 600m2.
This listing covers the factory-built planar panels, designed to be assembled on-site to provide the finished loadbearing structure. These opened or closed panels are constructed in compliance with Part 9 of the Ontario Building Code.
Manufacturer provides structural floor and roof panels, and load bearing and non-load bearing wall panels of wood frame construction with insulation, sheathing, weather resisting barrier, vapour barrier, and other optional components. Refer to the attached product description for more details (link to Panel Product Description). Models H1 through H3 are intended for floor applications; Models R1 and R2 are intended for roof panels; Models W1 are intended for non-load bearing wall applications; Models W2 through W4, W2a through W4a, W2b through W4b are intended for load bearing wall applications. Models individually identified under the same graphic illustration may have dimensional variations or may have certain components removed.
Panels may have electrical wiring and junction/outlet boxes installed for typical household applications. Panels may also have piping for water supply and drainage of common plumbing fixture. The Listing does not address the installation of appliances or equipment, or other features not included within this listing page. Panels are not evaluated for fire resistive assemblies and acoustical performance.Note 3:
Prefabricated Panels included in this listing are manufactured at a central facility and transported to the site. These panels must include provisions for on-site interconnections. QAI certification covers the construction of the prefabricated panels including any factory installed component and material. QAI certification is intended to obviate the necessity of further inspection by the local regulatory authorities except for site installations, connections to services and for site installed features.
Site installation of products must be done according to manufacturer’s installation instructions and in compliance with the requirements set by the local authority having jurisdiction.
