Business Commercial Industrial Structures

AAll markings must be permanent and visible after installation.
The QAI label (item 1096) – black lettering with silver background is normally located in close proximity to the electrical panel and includes:
• Certification label serial number
• QAI certification logo with the “C” identifier
• “Business Commercial Industrial Structures”

The Specification Nameplate (item 1068, white with black, 8-1/2” x 14”) is located in close proximity to the electrical panel and includes:
• Manufacturer’s Name and Address
• Date of Manufacture
• Model Serial Number or Product Code
• Foundation Type (Perimeter Foundation Wall or Piers)
• Floor Live Load
• Specified Snow Load (1/50)
• Seismic Response Sa(0.2)
• Hourly Wind Pressure (1/50)
• Envelope Effective Thermal Resistance
• Windows/Doors/Skylights Thermal Characteristics
• Outside Design Temperature (Heat Loss or Heat Gain)
• Factory Installed Appliances
• Site Installed Components, Assemblies, and Systems
• Electrical systems Voltage, Frequency and Amperage

Other Markings as required by the relevant codes.
The QAI label and specification nameplate are available from QAI and must be applied at the factory.

SStructures are used for single Major Occupancy Classified as Group D – Business and Personal Services. Building Classified under this occupancy are constructed in single or multiple modules in single storey configurations with a building area not exceeding 600m².

Structures under this listing typically include units used as business offices or for personal services. This listing does not include structures with Multiple Major Occupancies.

Structural:
Conventional Wood Frame Construction within the limitations of Part 9. Units are constructed with wood floor and roof truss systems designed in Part 4 with Professional Design.

Electrical System:
200A, 120/240VAC, 60Hz, 1Phase

Heating/ Ventilation:
Units may be equipped with central forced-air furnaces. Units may be electric, natural gas or propane fired. Units may be equipped with air conditioning. Units may be equipped with solid-fuel burning appliances.

Plumbing System:
Conventional drainage and venting systems to a maximum of 240 hydraulic fixture units.

Gas:
Units may be equipped with natural gas equipment and appliances.

Note: Modular Buildings included in this listing are manufactured a at central facility and transported to site. These modular buildings, when completely assembled on site, are equipped with normal facilities for connection to municipal water, sewage, and electrical services. QAI certification covers the construction of the homes and any factory installed plumbing and electrical services and is intended to obviate the necessity of further inspection by the local regulatory authorities except for site connections of services or to other modules and for site mounting features.
