Factory Constructed Business Commercial Structures

Products are marked in a permanent manner where it is readily visible after installation with the following:
1.The specification nameplate (item 1068, white with black, 8-1/2” x 14”) is located in close proximity to the electrical panel and includes:
•Manufacturer’s Name and Address
•Date of Manufacture
•Model Serial Number or Product Code
•Foundation Type (Perimeter Foundation Wall or Piers)
•Floor live Load
•Specified Snow Load (1/50)
•Seismic Response Sa(0.2)
•Hourly Wind Pressure (1/50)
•Envelope Effective Thermal Resistance
•Windows/Doors/Skylights Thermal Characteristics
•Outside Design Temperature (Heal Loss or Heat Gain)
•Factory Installed Appliances
•Site Installed Components, Assemblies, and Systems
•Electrical Systems Voltage, Frequency, and Amperage

2.The QAI label (item 1096 – Permanent Business Commercial Industrial Building CSA A277 Compliance label) is normally located in close proximity to the electrical panel.

Structures are used for single Major Occupancy (classified as Group D – Business and Personal Services occupancies), constructed in single or multiple modules, of up to 3-storey or less in building height, with a building area not exceeding 600 m2. Units classified under this occupancy are not intended for general public access.

Structures under this listing typically include units used as business offices or for personal services. For a full list of structures covered under this occupancy please refer to Division B, Notes to Part 3, A-3.1.2.1.(1) Major Occupancy Classification in the Building Code. This listing does not include structures with multiple Major Occupancies nor does it include the certification of elevators.

Structural:
Conventional Wood Frame Construction within the limitations of Part 9 applicable Building Code. Units may be constructed with Engineered Floor and Roof Systems.

Electrical Ratings:
120/208V, 3PH, 60Hz, 600A Max. or 120/240V, 1PH, 60Hz, 600A Max.

Heating/Ventilation:
The structures may be equipped with electrical baseboard heaters, energy recovery ventilators or high-velocity fan coil system operating with a Gas-fired, on-demand, tankless boiler.

Plumbing:
Conventional drainage and venting systems up to a maximum of 240 hydraulic fixture units.

Gas Systems:
The certification only covers factory installed portions of the gas system. Final installation and commissioning of the gas system must be completed on site by qualified technicians as per the requirements of the Authority Having Jurisdiction.
