Factory Built Office Structures under Group D Occupancy

All markings must be permanent and visible after installation.
The QAI Label (item 1096 – Permanent Business Commercial Industrial Building CSA A-277 Compliance Label) is normally located in close proximity to the electrical panel.

The Specification Nameplate (item 1068, white with black, 8-1/2” x 14”) is located in close proximity to the electrical panel and includes:
•Manufacturer’s Name and Address
•Date of Manufacture
•Model Serial Number or Product Code
•Foundation Type (Perimeter Foundation Wall or Piers)
•Floor Live Load
•Specified Snow Load (1/50)
•Seismic Response Sa(0.2)
•Hourly Wind Pressure (1/50)
•Building Envelope Effective Thermal Resistance
•Windows/Doors/Skylights Thermal Characteristics
•Outside Design Temperature (Heat Loss or Heat Gain)
•Factory Installed Appliances
•Site Installed Components, Assemblies and Systems
•Electrical Systems Voltage, Frequency and Amperage

Structures are used for single Major Occupancy classified as Group D – Business and Personal Services occupancies, constructed in single or multiple modules in single or two storey configurations not exceeding 600m².

Structures under this listing typically include units used as business offices or for personal services. For a full list of structures covered under this occupancy please refer to Division B, Notes to Part 3, A-3.1.2.1.(1) Major Occupancy Classification in the National Building Code of Canada. This listing does not include structures with multiple Major Occupancies.

Structural:
Conventional Wood Frame Construction within the limitations of Part 9 applicable Building Code. Units may be constructed with Engineered Floor and Roof Systems.

Electrical Ratings:
120/240V, 60Hz, 200A

Heating/Ventilation:
Central Forced-Air Furnaces. Units may be electric, natural gas, or propane fired. Systems may be equipped with air conditioning.

Plumbing:
Conventional drainage and venting systems up to a maximum of 240 hydraulic fixture units.

Gas Systems:
Gas appliances may be factory installed but are connected on site. Final installation and commissioning of the gas system must be completed on site by qualified technicians as per the requirements of the Authority Having Jurisdiction.
