Pex Piping System
The finished product bears the following information: Product Name, Product nominal size, Manufacturer name, City and state of manufacture, QAI Logo with the “us” indicator, QAI file number, Date of manufacture, the standard “ASTM E84”, Flame Spread Rating < 25, Smoke Developed Rating < 50, and the wording “must be installed with Zurn ZPEX Pipe Support or rated ½-inch pipe insulation as described in QAI Listing”.
Zurn Cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) pipe (red, white and blue colors) installed with either Zurn ZPEX Pipe Supports or rated ½-inch pipe insulation.

The following list of pipe insulation types (at minimum thickness of ½”) are approved for use with Zurn PEX piping at a maximum nominal diameter of 2”. The insulations noted when Listed to ASTM C547 by an approved agency, are approved for use at the dimension specified above.
