Fire doors and Fire door frames are required to be tested and certified by an independent ISO 17065 Accredited Agency to be sold in the United States and Canada. The US International Building Code (IBC) requires all Fire Doors to be Listed by a recognized Agency to UL 10B, UL 10C or NFPA 252, in Canada the National Building Code of Canada requires all Fire doors to be rated to CAN/ULC S104 by a Standards Council of Canada accredited certification body.

As well as testing Fire Doors, QAI also tests and certifies wall systems, fire stopping, glazing and other associated components for both fire and physical performance. For exterior doors QAI conducts full testing to North American Fenestration Standard/Specification for windows, doors, and skylights AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101 /I.S.2/A440 providing a true one stop shop for clients producing products for the door industry.
