Utilizing an array of machines, anvils, fixtures, and instruments, along with proven test methods and proprietary techniques, our technicians are well-equipped to examine and accurately measure the hardness of all types of metal, metal alloys, and metal components – regardless of the sample geometry. Difficult hardness testing assignments are no problem for our expert staff.

MICRO-HARDNESS TESTING: We have cutting edge technology for micro-hardness testing and may be the leading independent lab in the Midwest with two fully-automatic systems capable of performing all sorts of routines and mapping procedures, and the ability to perform simultaneous testing on up to eight samples at the same time. With these systems, our technology is simply unmatched and also enables us to determine effective case depth on case hardened components, heat affected zone hardness on welded components, hard and soft spots on difficult to machine components, and various other procedures. Our micro-hardness testers are also capable of capturing vivid color photomicrograph images at a relatively fast rate and then, stitching them together to provide a full, seamless view of the entire specimen.
