QAI Laboratories Offers New Certification Program per ASTM E2634, Standard Specification for Flat Wall Insulating Concrete Form (ICF) Systems. May 17, 2010

As the ICF industry is launching the usage of their recently published ASTM Product Standard Specification in to the 2012 International Building Codes, QAI has designed a Certification program to smoothly transition existing recognitions in to compliance with this revolutionary standard, with a revolutionary approach of our own:
QAI will perform the evaluation of existing data to the new ASTM specification at no charge.
The QAI Certification program for ICF’s allows incorporation of existing product certifications to industry standards such as ASTM C578, ASTM E84, ASTM E119, CAN/ULC S701, ICC-ES AC12, and ICC-ES AC353, and applies the already developed test data and quality assurance documentation to the requirements of the new specification. QAI accepts data from any accredited agency, and performs the test data evaluation at no charge. QAI will also accept existing manufacturing plant quality documentation in compliance with ICC-ES AC10, and review at no charge.
Upon completion of the initial review, QAI will then prepare a proposal to conduct any further testing and evaluation required to comply with ASTM E2634. Once compliance to the standard is determined, QAI will prepare a certification documentation package including listing to all desired standards (including past/existing standards), and an easy-to-follow factory inspection manual using the already-in-place procedures at the manufacturing plants.
