Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing & Certification Laboratory
The definition of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), as it appears in the International Electrotechnical Vocabulary [169], is: “The ability of a device, equipment, or system to function satisfactorily in the electromagnetic environment (electromagnetic immunity or susceptibility) without introducing intolerable disturbance to anything in that environment (electromagnetic emissions). The electromagnetic emissions and electromagnetic immunity or susceptibility are the two main parts of EMC.

RF Emissions
QAI is a RF Compliance Testing Laboratory with three Semi-Anechoic chambers and 10m OATS. It offers R&D and full compliance testing with accurate and repeatable results.
Wireless Testing
QAI’s wireless team is a regulatory compliance expert for wireless products. We have two teams for testing and documentation, and cover various wireless technologies.
Defense Services
QAI laboratories offers military testing services with onsite capability, dedicated team and equipment. We can tests for CE, CS, RE and RS according to MIL-STD-461G.

The QAI Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing Lab is accredited by A2LA to IEC/ISO 17025 for a wide scope of international test methods. As well, QAI is recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in the USA as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) and accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) as a certification body. Our EMC Lab is registered with FCC, Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) Canada and many other international government bodies. Please review our accreditations page for details.
