Radio Frequency (RF) Emissions Preliminary-Scans
QAI is a reputable Radio Frequency RF Compliance Testing Laboratory. When you come to QAI for R&D or full compliance, the first step is to start with the preliminary radiated and conducted emissions which are performed in our 3 meter or in our 5-meter Semi-Anechoic Chambers (SAC). QAI have three Semi-Anechoic chambers and 10m Open Air Test Site (OATS). There are many advantages for testing in the Semi-Anechoic Chambers, which includes no ambients, no RF signals, accurate data, repeatable results and controlled environmental conditions. For R&D purposes, performing preliminary scans in a Semi-Anechoic chamber is the preferred method by most design engineers.
Radio Frequency (RF) Emissions Final Testing
Once the passing results are achieved during the pre-compliance, the product under test is moving forward to full compliance testing. The next step is to perform final emissions testing as per the applicable standard, the frequency range can be from 9 kHz to 40 GHz which may be performed in the SAC also. All our Semi Anechoic Chambers (SACs) meet NSA requirements for ANSI 63.4 and ANSI 63.7 from 30 MHz to 1 GHz and CISPR Site VSWR requirements up to 18 GHz. If needed, the final 3 meter or 10-meter RF emissions testing can be completed at our state-of-the-art Open Area Test Site (OATS), which is located at the UBC Malcolm Knapp Research Forest. The OATS is a partially enclosed 3m and 10-meter site, the central enclosure is constructed from non reflective materials including plastic and nylon fasteners.
